Gift's Saber Strikes Again! Now without Ribbons photo

A week or so ago, I was massively disappointed when I missed out on Hobby Search's sale on the 1/8 Saber by Gift.  I was never really a Type-Moon fan, but it was just such a beautiful piece that I wanted to have it when I first saw it.  Unfortunately for my collection, it was just not meant to be.

To my surprise, a new version of Gift's Saber is now available on their site.  The figure retains all of the same glorious detail as the original, but now Saber's hair is flowing without the hinderance of any hair bands or ribbons.  I loved the realistic approach that Gift made when creating this figure, really setting it apart from any of the other Type-Moon figures.  That's what really gravitated me towards this piece.  For those that were wanting the traditional Saber anime-styling, this version will not be including the extra face as the original had.  No word though if she is compatable with the one included on the original release.

For those that are interested in this piece, you are going to have to find your favorite proxy service, as this is limited solely for sale on Gift's website.  It is currently available now for a price of 7800 yen.

MOAR Type Moon:

Legacy Comments

Kind of annoyed at this since I just bought the 'ribbon' version. Not sure which I like better though. Would be cool if they sold the head seperately lol, but that would be weird and I doubt that'll happen anyway
Grr, just noticed the stone with grass...stones with grass make anything look better
Something about those eyes... when I first saw this on eBay, I *actually* thought it was a cheap bootleg!
(don't kill me!)
oh great.. now with no ribbons, what next nakid Saber?
I actually like the original version more, but the extras for the base are actually kinda nice.
And is that just me, or is her sword different too?
