Get another shot at love with the figma Kobayakawa Rinko from Love Plus+ photo

It was just a month ago that a figma version of Takane Manaka from Konami's hit girlfriend simulator, Love Plus+, went up for pre-order. Since then, things did not go so well. But what did you expect? I doubt a girl would like to be constantly prodded with a stylus. Nevertheless, there are plenty of fish in the sea and another has come swimming by.

Max Factory continues the figma line of Love Plus characters with the introduction of the tom boy Kobayakawa Rinko. I was a little unsure of the quality of the faces of these figures when shown at the 2011 Winter Hobby Exhibition but it looks like that's been fixed. Rinko includes the same faces that can be found with the Nendoroid figure; her normal face, an embarrassed face, and a kissing face. Sadly, no silly black dots for eyes face. Accessories include the music player that's always around her neck, a school bag with a mascot of her load screen art attached, and cat ears because you kids love your nekomimis. Only one alternate hairstyle is available with it being her dorky pig-tails.

The figure is now available for pre-order retailing at ¥3,048. Don't forget your date is in October, so mark your calendar. Anyone happy to finally see Rinko become available? Or are your folks eagerly awaiting Nene? Don't be shy now. Let us know in the comments!

I don't really know why, but her design does nothing for me. She's got that coy looking face and that's good. The ears are super cute, but those designs from Love Plus are too generic for me.
I would've been all over Amagami figmas, not really feeling L+.
Why are they making these?

No seriously, I don't get it. The Nendoroids seem to be shelf warming EVERYWHERE I look online (seriously, you can find any of them for about 1,400 yen now). I know Love Plus has a creepycreepy fan following (this is the one where the guy married the character right?) but they don't seem to be buying them up. The figmas come with a few little extras, but nothing wow worthy or special.

Seriously guys, if you want them? Wait until after they're released, I foresee the same thing happening to them that happened to the Nendoroids.
Just girls in college uniforms don't attract me that much, looks always the same to me... I hope that they release some fate/stay night characters figmas, mainly the males
Will likely pre-order. L+ is a series of Moe Blobs that I'm relatively weak against... Already pre-ordered Takane.

It does suck that they aren't doing a giant black dot eye face, though.

Hm?
When are we going to get some interesting figures? Do these things even sell? I feel like Max Factory is just pandering to creepy otakus because they're obsessive and will buy this stuff.
@Pilot That's a bit harsh isn't it?

I honestly don't see the need for the hate. Either you buy her or don't. In my case, I already ordered Manaka, going to pass on Rinko. That was easy.

All figures pander to otaku, who non-otaku/collectors generally think are creepy or weird. It doesn't matter what you're buying, people have difficulty understanding why anybody would pay so much money for a "toy" from overseas. You've basically described the entire community.
