Having a muzzle flash that you can put on the front of the gun would've been really nice. I can only imagine how cool it would be to have 1 of each class all the same color, standing next to each other.
Gaming Heads' Heavy statues now open for preorderLast week, we brought you news about Gaming Heads and Valve's partnership to produce items based on Valve's franchises, starting with Team Fortress 2's Heavy. Lovingly described by the Scout as a "big shaved bear that hates people," the Heavy is very well captured in this 12-inch polsytone statue, with Gaming Heads using the actual game files to recreate the character. He comes equipped with his gun, Sasha, ad the exclusive variant includes an extra head along with an attachment that turns Sasha into Natascha, his alternate weapon from TF2's Heavy Update.I'm only a bit sad the delicious Sandvich is not included with either figure. And of course, it all comes down to one thing: how much does our large gun-toting friend cost? US$229.99 will get you the basic RED or BLU Heavy, while for the exclusive version, you'll have to shell out US$244.99. Preorders for RED and BLU regular and RED and BLU exclusive Heavy statues are open now, with the regular statues capped at 750 pieces each and the exclusive statues at 300 pieces each. Both are set to release in Q4 2010. The site is incredibly slow, as it's probably being crushed by people trying to get a look at the statue or preorder one. It's first come, first served, so act quickly! Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)It's a 12" statue so $230 isn't that crazy. Since it's not too intricate of a paint job, I'd imagine it to a little less. I'll probably get a different classes model though.
Having a muzzle flash that you can put on the front of the gun would've been really nice. I can only imagine how cool it would be to have 1 of each class all the same color, standing next to each other. I can't believe they were forcing people to buy this only using facebook. %#@! social networking, there is no way I'm signing up for that and putting my full name out there just to buy something from this company. That was one of the worst product launches I've ever seen. Almost as bad as star wars galaxies. btw assuming they eventually do all 9 characters and they are all the same price, that would be around $2205 total without tax or shipping (for the exclusives). Just in case people were wondering well considering its 9 12" figures that's not exactly terrible, I don't think most people will buy the whole team, just their favorite. have you guys noticed that none of the statues on the site have sold out yet (or at least the ones I checked). I think they were expecting to gain a sideshow like following but I think they just need to expand their marketing a little more. If it wasn't for tomopop I would have never known about this company. I run about 30 other RSS feeds almost all related to statues and tomopop's post was the ONLY one that appeared in my list. 3:28 AM on 05.25.2013 Megahobby Expo Spring 2013: AlterAlter's showing at Megahobby Expo notably included: A swimsuit version of Saber Alter (painted since WonFes) Tanigawa Kanna from Ano Natsu de Matteru (newly painted) Chitanda Eru Unpainted prototype for Takanashi Miu from Pa...
