For Tomopop's birthday, we're giving you the gifts

On February 1st we're celebrating a very special occasion. It's Tomopop's second birthday! To celebrate this awesome milestone, we've put together a contest with huge prizes. It's going to be linked to February's Monthly Musings theme, so get your cameras ready.

First let's talk about what's up for grabs. First, we've got the Final Fantasy Trading Arts Volume 4 figures that Colette Reviewed last week. We've also giving away store credit to Big Bad Toy Store in 3 different denominations up to $150. That's right, this contest will have 4 winners!

Our Monthly Musing theme for February will be Birthdays. To enter this contest, we're asking you to create a Megapixel c-blog to wish Tomopop a happy birthday. If you're unfamiliar with the concept of the Monthly Megapixel, allow me to briefly summarize.

The MM is your chance to appear on the front page as a guest editor. Every month, we choose a new theme. Using that theme as inspiration, pull out your toys and your camera and take photos. Put it together into a community blog. The best Megapixels will be promoted to the front page throughout the month. Check out the links from December's recap to find a ton of great promoted examples done in a variety of ways.

As far as the contest goes, creating a Megapixel blog wishing Tomopop a happy 2nd birthday will enter you into the contest. At the end of the month, the editors will pick their favorites and put it to a vote. The top four will win. Here are the prizes once again:

First place: $150 in credit to Big Bad Toy Store

Second place: $100 in credit to BBTS

Third place: $50 in credit to BBTS

Fourth place: The Final Fantasy Figure Arts Volume 4 toys from Colette's review

I'll be back on Monday to officially kick off the Monthly Musing theme for February, with the usual warehouse of ideas for the topic. If you're needing inspiration, check back then. Otherwise, let your minds (and cameras) go wild!
