Because who doesn't love robot and cat girls combined, right?

There are a few things that I haven't expected. Mecha musume is nothing new, especially with the long-running Busou Shinki line, the popularity of Strike Witches and the recent release of Bandai's Armored Girl Plus line. The series I never really thought of to be made into their own little line of girls in armor figures was Zoids. Today is for surprises though as the Figutto! line introduces the Zoids Girl Shield Liger.

Accounting for the oddity factor, it's an interesting figure. The accessories are nicely put together, especially the hand shields. She comes with alternate faces so you can have her winking or smiling instead of the base zero emotion version. The most interesting part to me is the head of the Shield Liger. It looks as if she hunted down the Shield Liger, stripped off its pelt, and is now wearing it for warmth. Putting that picture in my mind, it's close to getting me to pick it up.

For those of you ready for the hunt and wanting to add the Figutto! Zoids Girl Shield Liger, she'll be available this December for ¥6,500. Sure, it's kinda pricey but Liger pelts aren't cheap. You can find the pre-order links to the shop of your best convenience below.
