Figure of the Day has seen its last dayRegular visitors to Figure of the Day will today be greeted by the site's logo displayed where ordinarily there would be a figure and a US$2,500 price tag by the side. The item up for sale? Figure of the Day's domain, as the company has decided to close down and subsequently sell its name. The details for this sale feature a brief explanation that explains little besides being unable to make a real go of things with the resources available. So now the Figure of the Day is "offering a fan of the site a chance to take Figure of the Day to the NEXT LEVEL!" I imagine at least a few people will mourn the passing of the site (for instance, they sold me a Killer Croc that now sits on my nightstand) and, if we're lucky, we may seen the thing taken over and continued. While I doubt that the place is feasible as a stand-alone project, I imagine that a larger company (like BBTS, Entertainment Earth, etc) could conceivably use it as an offshoot for timed clearances. Did anybody buy from the site while it was still running? Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
