Yes, folks, the news is always the same when it comes to Racing Miku. This year is no different as in order to get the queen of the track, you'll have to buy a sponsorship package of Good Smile Racing via NicoNico. While it is disappointing, the only reason for having disappointment is that this is actually something wanted. With what she has packed in, I can understand the dismay of not being able to obtain this figma via normal means.

Personally, I love this design. As I mentioned when it was introduced at WonFes, I love how the design incorporates mechanical futurism. Her accessories just seal the deal with the champagne celebration, a red/black checkered flag and your choice of opened or closed umbrella. The eyes make her look a lot older and somewhat remind me of Nia from Gurren Lagann, if only for the inclusion of pink in there. It's a great figma and I'd love to actually have it, but it's locked up under sponsorship.

If you make the choice to support Good Smile Racing, you have from now until September 11 to get your order in.  The minimum level is 7,000 yen, which of course can go all the way up to 50,000 yen if you choose to get more GSR merch. I'm sure that some of you will take the plunge for this. When you do, she'll be crossing the finish line to your homes this December.
