Figma Pit and Pittoo pre-orders fly under my radar

Figma Pit and Pittoo pre-orders fly under my radar photo

It feels like forever since I started over-reporting on figma Pit and Pittoo (or "Dark Pit", both of Kid Icarus Uprising fame), but they're finally available for pre-order thus ending the amount of coverage you'll see on them... for now. The new promotional images reveal the bows do indeed split, something I had kind of expected (how else would they get into the figures' hands?) but still wanted to see confirmed. Pittoo naturally looks much cooler with his split Silver Bow, making me wonder why he wasn't posed as such in the earlier galleries.

Also of note is that the rings from the Palutena arrow can be stored on Pit's arm, somewhat resembling  bangles. Pit comes with the Palutena Bow, one arrow with two optional "halo" attachments, an alternate shouting face, a Monoeye monster (with stand), alternate gauntlet-ed hands, and a stand as well as a "first release" bonus AR card for use with Kid Icarus Uprising (listed as possibly only being compatible with the Japanese version). Palutena's Bow is listed as coming in three different forms, but I assume that just indicates the ability to split in half.

Pittoo, Pit's (dark) mirror image, comes with the Silver Bow (and one arrow for it), the Dark Pit Staff, and an alternate shouting face (showing that Pittoo, contrary to popular belief, has more than one emotion). Like Pit, he has a "first release" bonus of an AR card that might only be usable on the Japanese version of Kid Icarus Uprising.

Between the two, I'm beginning to think Pittoo looks nicer although he's arguably the lesser value (c'mon, just one weapon in lieu of a monster? Could have at least given us an Ogre Club). That's not to say that both figures (which mostly use the same mold anyway) don't look great. Heck, you should buy both of them. I mean, they're releasing the same month (in late April) anyway so why not? Oh, right, the expense.
