Erick Scarecrow takes on Final Fantasy in latest teaser photo

On November 29, Erick Scarecrow of ESC-Toy tweeted a teaser image of a new project he had been working on (the right-side image in the header). He announced that the figure would be a repaint of Square-Enix's Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII. Then a few days later, bam!, we get an even bigger image from Erick's blog, this time showing not only the warrior's feathered armor detail but the whole back of the figure. The rainbow-like coloring is reminiscent of some of Erick's other works, such as his Kissaki Summer Dream. You may recall that Erick also worked with Naughty Dog to create Nathan Drake figures so working on games-related toys is familiar territory. I, for one, am excited to see how he will interpret Lightning's look into his own style. You can already see it in the painting and a little bit in her stance and the cut of the armor. I hope we get the full reveal soon!
