So here's something cool the folks at Dudebox have sent our way. They've partnered with British school Parsons The New School for Design to bring us a bit of a competition. Parsons Bachelors of Fine Arts illustration students were tasked with coming up with a design concept for a Dudebox figure, and from that, four finalists were selected to go on display at New York Comic Con. They are (clockwise from upper left):

• Mr. Sir by Anastasia Lonkin: a proper-looking gentleman, with a monocle and smartly waxed moustache, who enjoys tea and biscuits as much as Red Bull and Doritos;
• Bob by Loren Kang: a sailor from Planet Pepp who is rendered in simple black, white, and red, and has two faces, one on each side of his head, which help him express his emotions;
• Glam Greaser by Katrina Richter; who looks like a character from an outer-space production of Grease with her leopard jacket and kerchief, and likes to rock out with her band, The Knuckle Sandwiches.
• The Rallin by Cindy Tan: a shy, gentle creature who grazes on plastic at the edges of landfills and whose scales change color depending on its diet.

One of the four from this list will have their design put into production and the winner will be announced on Oct. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Dudebox booth (#2915). Tomopop readers, do you have a favorite of the four?
