Want to have a leg-up when Dragon Quest X launches (in Japan)? Perhaps these adorable monster plushes will help you out! Not only are they based on new monsters from the series, but they come packaged with item codes for the Wii game. Both the Whip Ghost and the Omutsukkori will gift you a "Hardworking Person" item set containing 3 medicinal herbs, 3 branches, and 3 pieces of string. Also included within the digital item set is an orb that increases gold and experience gain for a limited time. The description says that you can use only one item code per account. I am not sure whether that means one per plush or only one code from any plush. I'd assume the former.

The plushes themselves should be incentive enough for any DQ fan to pre-order. They vary in height from 180 to 200 millimeters and are considered part of the Smile Slime line of merchandise. Each plush retails for ¥1980. They are scheduled to ship in late July.

[pre-order at AmiAmi (Whip Ghost, Omutsukkori) | Hobby Search (Whip Ghost, Omutsukkori)]
