Ah, the lovely Mai Shiranui. One of the oldest and most well-known of fighting game heroines, she and her curvaceous figure are just one of the reasons King of Fighters stands the test of time. Plus, you know, that whole gameplay thing. Anyway, it should be no surprise products of such a beauty still crop up, with these two coming to us from Alphamax.
Admittedly I've never been a huge Mai fan, but I really love the art style seen here. The figure has a really soft feel to it, and I'm impressed by the facial expression in particular. It's both calm and simple, but very appealing and manages to convey a surprising amount of feeling behind it. Perhaps I'm putting too much stock in a character whose popularity literally revolves around being half-naked and possessing a giant rack, but nonetheless I like to look for the positives! You'll be able to pick both versions up in May for about ¥8,800.
