Double Fine's Scott Campbell and Rivet Gallery present Badlands
The week before Halloween, I relentlessly played a little downloadable game called Costume Quest. Placing you in the shoes of a kid and your friends, you trick or treat for candy on Halloween night and end up embroiled in a battle against evil forces. It's literally a blast, but it's no surprise considering it comes from Double Fine Studios, who also made Brutal Legend and Psychonauts.
Scott Campbell is Double Fine's art director, and an exhibition of his work in a Western vein is coming to Rivet Gallery this month on November 6th. Called "Badlands", the show will feature complimentary drink from Magic Hat and an opportunity to meet and chat up the artist himself between 7-10 PM.
In addition, Rivet will also hold a Q&A session with Campbell on Friday from 7 to 9 PM. If you can't make it to either event, the art will be on display through November 30th, so stop by and check it out if you happen to be in the Columbus area.
