Don't mess with Tristan Eaton's Heisenberg piece photo

Last week, I finally finished watching the first season of Breaking Bad. I know, I know, I'm a slowpoke. I'm now starting to understand what everybody has been raving about for the last couple of years. Like many other shows of its caliber, there a ton of great art pieces based off of characters and/or situations in Breaking Bad. In fact, there's a show called Breaking Gifs: The Breaking Bad Art Project that opened up at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles yesterday, August 20th and runs through

One of the pieces that went on sale and display at Breaking Gifs was the Heisenberg Skull and Crossbones. This collaboration between Pretty In Plastic and Tristan Eaton is available in three colors: Hazmat Yellow (limited to 40 pieces), Black Lung (limited to 40 pieces) and Blue Sky (limited to 20 pieces, currently sold out). The yellow and black skulls are $100 while the translucent blue skull was $120. You can get the available pieces over here.

These are the times where I lament my current living location. While there are some interesting things going on in Miami, L.A. has so many more interesting things to do and see. Hell, Gallery 1988 alone seems to have a ton of interesting things that I'd love to see, especially Breaking Gifs. Pretty In Plastic even recreated a meth lab for this show. Too bloody awesome.

Meet Davidkraig at Kidrobot NY's May 18 customizing event

Want to come check out some live customizing and meet artist Davidkraig? If you're in New York City, you can do that on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. Eastern at Kidrobot New York (118 Prince St., SoHo, Manhattan).  As for what he'll be working on ... I'm not too sure. But you've seen his work before, and I assume he'll be sculpting out/painting something just as impressive for the event.
