This year's Power-Con is going down on September 22nd & 23rd in Torrance, California (specifically at the Torrance Marriott South Bay) and, in addition to Mattel hosting two panels on the 22nd, the first 1,000 ticket buyers will get a special coupon to redeem at the Mattel booth for a free secret weapon accessory.

The first of Mattel's two panels will be a "Mattel/MattyCollector.com Panel" at 11 a.m. (presumably PST because, well...) featuring brand manager Scott Neitlich and designers The Four Horsemen. This panel will focus on the figure line and will supposedly feature a few reveals besides providing a behind the scenes look. The second panel will be "Story Behind the Toys: Mini-Comics, Comics & Bios" at 2 p.m. and will focus on the He-Man, She-Ra, and Thundercats comics (apparently both new and old?).

The promotional secret weapon may currently be unknown (hence the "secret" part, but I imagine that we're dying to know what it is) but it's hardly the only early ticket purchase incentive. Apparently advance tickets purchased before September 14th will get some art prints as well. The three possible prints (a Lion-O with Mumm-Ra one, a She-Ra one, and a He-Man one) all look great but the catch is you can only pick two (and not two of the same). Check out the gallery to see your possible choices and remember that the real ones will lack the watermarks. Just remember, that little art print is a reminder that Thundercats still exists despite its recent, numerous setbacks including the loss of the new cartoon and likely cancellation of the toy line.
