Well folks, it's that time of the month again: DO WANT is here! The editors have assembled and made their picks known. This month is when summer becomes fall, so bundle on up, make a nice cup of hot cocoa and stay inside to read this feature!
In this month's installment:
And more! Well, what are you waiting for? Let's check out what everyone loves this month!
Brian Szabelski wants Cometdebris' Sametan
A shark wearing pants. SOLD. And what's better is that part of the funds raised from Sametan sales go toward a worthy cause of protecting sharks. It's win-win. :)
That and I bought my original DO WANT pick already. Oops.
Natalie Kipper wants the Sorcerer Mickey outfit for Duffy the Disney bear
I never went for Barbie and her accompanying outfits when I was a kid but turn Barbie into a Disney-licensced plush bear and, suddenly, I am addicted. Duffy's Sorcerer Mickey outfit is really begging for my money and, sometime in October, you can bet I will be in the parks making that very important purchase. Plus, my poor little Duffy is getting tired of being dressed as a pirate. I mean, it's nice and all but I'm ready for some light-up magic!
Tianxiao Ma wants Good Smile Company's Chainsaw Girl
For me, it's gotta be GSC's Chainsaw Girl. I'm gonna work hard, save up some money, write some love poems to the chainsaw, and wait for the preorder announcement. I know, I'm a man and it's a chainsaw, but love will find a way (to chainsaw through obstacles that are preventing love). The mecha musume aspect of it is a nice bonus, and reminds me of Humikane Shimada's designs for Strike Witches.
Rio McCarthy wants Disney's Designer Collection Tiana Doll
My journey with trying to get these dolls is far from a secret, and all I can say is I better get my hands on the Tiana doll! I've never thrown a hissy fit over not getting a toy before, but there's a first time for everything! She's my favorite princess and I'll be absolutely heartbroken if I can't have her in my collection.
Well, it's me, so how can I not be obsessed with the Super Saiyan 3 Goku S.H. Figurarts uh ... figure? Everybody be all hatin' on the bright orange color scheme. Pranger be all lovin' the bright orange color scheme. If the color is turning people off and leaving more for me, hooray for great justice! I'm a broken record, but I love my Dragon Ball Z figures. I mean, it's not like I can actually get a hold of that custom Link action figure, so why even Do Want it? DBZ all the way for me, a-yet again.
Well, aside from my obligatory joke saying that I want one of the Saber Dollfies, I find myself torn between the Yamato Tachibana Mizuki and the Queens Gate Noel Vermillion.
I'm a fan of Gravion, even though there's nothing particularly great about the show. It's just well made, entertaining and has a cool mecha and some hot blooded characters in it. So getting a chance to acquire Mizuki is much appreciated, considering that very little merchandise for Gravion is available.
As for Noel ... she's Noel!! Nothing more needs to be said. She's my main character from my current fave fighting game and she's not done by FREEing, so she doesn't suck!! Bet she'll look great next to the art panel I have and the custom artwork I've commissioned for mr my arcade stick. Now, Just give me a Litchi and a Tsubaki (not done by FREEing)!!
Chang Su wants Alter's Aegis
Some people were not amused when Alter decided to add one more to the already sizable pool of Aegis figures. I, on the other hand, am not one of them. Daddy knows what he likes, and when I see the gleaming metallic finish on her exposed machine parts and her piercing blue eyes, I am reminded of the reason why figure makers love Aegis so much. It matters not whether this is the fifth, tenth or the hundred Aegis figure out there — if she looks this good, there will always be a place on my shelves for her.
Jackie Zysk wants Argonaut Resins' Baby Blue Tuttz
Honestly, the fact I don't own a Tuttz yet is probably a crime in some country. I'm a huge Egyptophile and have been studying Egyptian history for the better part of eight years. I'm really leaning towards the baby blue Tuttz that will be on sale at NYCC this year, especially because it's one of the larger versions! I certainly cannot wait to get one of these babies on my desk next month.
