If you are a Disney-Pixar fan, odds are, Brave is on your mind as it opened to the public today. And what better way to celebrate the new film, than with a limited edition doll of the heroine, Princess Merida? She was also put on sale today, with an edition size of 7000, spread out between brick and mortar Disney Stores and online. That's a lot of divvying. If she is anything like the other limited edition dolls, she will be sold out before the end of the day. 

We talked about this very special doll when she was first announced but let's give a little refresher about why she is worth a look. Merida features an extremely detailed costume including a faux-fur cloak, a tartan sash (with a pattern that Disney has register as the official Brave tartan pattern in the Scottish registry), and a satin gown with gold organza fabric around the cuff and collar. She comes with a her iconic bow and arrows as well as a sword. This Scottish tomboy costs US$99.50.

It is worth noting that now through this Sunday (June 24), if you purchase anything Brave-related from the Disney Store online and use the code "BRAVESHIP" (sans quotation marks), the entire order's shipping is free. Also, if, for whatever reason, you don't purchase the limited edition Merida but would like the princess in some form, the standard edition doll (US$16.50) is really rather spiffy.
