Dengeki's 20th Anniversary festival has Beach QueensWave has done a lot of Beach Queens, but these two limited edition ones for Dengeki Hobby's 20th Anniversary Festival may be my favorite ones thus far. They are, fittingly, two of ASCII Media Works' iconic characters: Toaru Kagaku no Railgun's Mikoto Misaka and Toradora's Taiga Aisaka. Both figures resemble their anime incarnations more than their manga designs. While both characters are known for being tsunderes, only Taiga's expression fits the description. Mikoto's actually looking happy to be at the beach, and I'm absolutely loving it. As far as I can tell these are new designs, although the Taiga figure looks similar to an existing Beach Queen of hers. The bad news, I'm sure you've guessed, is that these are exclusive to the Dengeki 20th Anniversary Festival. So unless you're there, getting one will be tough. They'll be available during the festival, October 20-21, for ¥3,800. [via figsoku] Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
