DC Cover Girls Platinum has a heart of... platinum?Pre-orders have opened for DC Collectibles' DC Cover Girls Platinum statue. This 10.25-inch statue features the character in a mostly solid state, with one leg partly transforming into a liquid. Comic fans will recognize the name Platinum as being a member of the Metal Men. Platinum is a robot composed primarily of her metallic namesake and, like the rest of her team, possesses the ability to shape-shift and stretch her body. The partially transformed left leg references this rather cool ability although, admittedly, it could make the statue less appealing to non-fans. DC Collectibles did a great job with Platinum. Her face-sculpt is simply stunning and the overall statue is almost equally wonderful. My only possible criticism is that the base looks a little odd in relation to the statue. DC Collectibles' DC Cover Girls Platinum has a list price of US$100 and is slated for a July release. [ Pre-order at Big Bad Toy Store ] Did you know?
