DC Bishoujo Power Girl is revealed, is not Ame-Comi badI know a few people who are excited to finally see the finished sculpt for Kotobukiya's DC Bishoujo of Power Girl. Given the monstrousity that is the Ame-Comi by DC Direct (now DC Collectibles), people were anxious to see how an actual Japanese artist would interpret the Earth-2 superhero. On all accounts, I can say that they made a much better figure and one that can appeal to people who don't like the Ame-Comi stylings so much. I won't say that the figure is perfect. Her leg stance seems a bit awkward to me, but I think this is something that can be easily fixed. Thankfully, her all-around sculpt looks great and actually resembles Power Girl. I'm sure many are already drawn to the window to her soul, but that is a fine, spotless window that was sculpted there. Her facial expression, I find to be quite vibrant and suiting to the character. Again, something that can't be said about how horrid the Ame-Comi was. For those wanting to smack down your dollars for her already, you'll have to wait until she becomes available this November. I'm sure we'll see much more of her down the line, perhaps at a certain comic convention next month. In any case, thank you Kotobukiya, you for the most part did not screw this up. Did you know?
