Daniel Yu gives a rhino another friend, A Gray Wolf
My love for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is nearly limitless, especially when it comes to the classic Mirage toy line. However, Daniel Yu's love may just be slightly more powerful as he brings us another custom TMNT action figure in the form of "A Gray Wolf", a custom of Rahzar, one of the two mutant villans from TMNT 2: The Secret of the Ooze. Somehow this is one of the few figures from the line I don't have. How did that happen? No idea, but I'm liking what I'm seeing. You may have seen Daniel's previous custom just last week on Tomo, "A Rhino and Friend", so by now you're probably familiar with his relaxed style of taking previously "hardcore" figures and softening them slightly. Well, maybe Rahzar hasn't been softened too much here, but that's the vibe I'm getting. New is the coat of gray paint, as well as the eyepatch, but between those simple cosmetic changes (and repainting his remaining eye black rather than red), I'm seeing a kinder, gentle Rahzar. Still a Rahzar that could tear my throat out, but he'd be gentler about it and probably apologize as it was happening. More please! Did you know?
