Miss Mindy (previously featured for her wooden kokeshi dolls) worked on some figures recently that she admits to being the most complex toy work she has ever done. For good reason, too! Check out these two beautiful custom nine inch figures (which have been sold to some lucky person or people!), the Red Queen and the White Rabbit. Both of them feature a ton of fantastic detail and the Queen herself features some bonuses: a Cheshire Cat and a little Alice.
I really like her style, and while they started out as Vinylmation figures (you could kind of tell with the Red Queen), the White Rabbit barely retains anything from its original shape from my viewpoint. I really like how she shaved off part of the ears and even cut into both of the figures as well as adding on to the molds with extra sculpting, textures, frills and accessories. These were on display at D23 this past weekend at Anaheim.
She is also participating in the Room For One More event going on at Disney World (Florida) September 30, contributing two more one-of-a-kind figures of a Bride and Groom ghost busts (also both nine inch).
