Custom Delights: Nanan's Amaterasu

9:00 PM on 04.25.2011 // Brian Szabelski

Nanan has sent us pictures of a new, amazing resin creation he's put together. Called Amaterasu, it was made for his last show, "Between three universes" at the Annie Wable Gallery in Lille, France. And it's more than just a figure you can put on your shelf.

You see, Amaterasu lives up to its name: it's a hybrid of a lamp and a toy. The body itself is made of resin and the head is a recycled retro headlight. The finished Amaterasu is about 12" tall and is fully handpainted. In addition, there's a Bramble that's been turned into an Amaterasu-like figure as well that looks very cool.

No word on if these will be for sale or not, but we can only hope even a limited run will be made. They're just too cool, in my opinion!
