Miss Mindy recently revealed two custom wooden kokeshi dolls, which she has christened the "White Russian Series," and they are absolutely lovely. Viktoriya and Varvara have been hand painted and embellished with feathers and fabric in Miss Mindy's signature style. The dolls were inspired by her best friend's late father who drank White Russians, which used to be my drink of choice as well. Miss Mindy also writes of Viktoriya, "She enjoys Eostre, can you tell? Ha ha ha... Her little bird upon her head lays the most unusual of eggs, from gold, green to polka dot!"
I love kokeshi and Miss Mindy's art so I have to smile every time I look at this pair. Both are available in Missy Mindy's Etsy shop, but will cost you a pretty penny considering the larger of the two is 7" tall. So what do you think of these handmade cuties?
