Custom Delights: Emily Beaulieu's Loved Unloved Munny photo

Vinyl artist Emily Beaulieu has put together a very cool piec, called Loved Unloved, for an upcoming Munny show, and I'd have to say she's done a pretty good job designing her Munny. Featuring a simple red, black and white color pattern, Loved Unloved is not overly complex, but still has plenty of cool little details, especially around the Munny's face. More specifically, I love the eloquently detailed "WR" letters on the Munny's head, because that old-school English style typography is a favorite of mine.

The whole typography use has another meaning for Emily: her grandfather was a Linotype operator and her father a sign writer/hand letterer. The entire story is up on her blog post about Loved Unloved and it's a great read. Just proves how personal Munnies can truly be.

As for the Munny itself, it'll be on display Saturday at the opening of the Munny Grubbers show at Just Blazed in Phoenix, Arizona (1740 E. McDowell Rd.). Sixty other artists will be at the show as well, including a number of other big names, so if you can stop by, I'd do so!
