Custom Delights: Ashley Hay's Bobble Bubble Krackas

6:15 PM on 11.27.2012 // Brian Szabelski

Aren't they adorable?

Ashley Hay has some new custom figures she's just completed for the 9-Bit show at Yetee Gallery in Aurora, Ill. She's taken the Kidrobot Munnyworld Kracka figure and turned it into everyone's favorite 8-bit dragons, Bob and Bub from Bubble Bobble! I love how she really hasn't done a whole lot with Bub's sculpt (the dragon fin along the back is about the only thing I think that's sculpted as an addition) yet she's used the crocodile-shape to full effect to make them look like dragons.

Well, that and how she's replicated the art style from Bubble Bobble right down to the eyes and smiles of Bub and Bob. That's really what I like best about it.

You can pick up both of them for US$140 at the Yetee Gallery website. What do you think, Tomopop readers?
