Comiket 79: Nendoroid Roundup photo

Comiket: a time for hundreds of thousands of smelly and sweaty people to crowd into one building and buy anime and manga merchandise and tons of doujinshi. It's also a time for us as figure collectors to find out a bit more about new products coming out or see new announcements, but sadly for those of us who are fans of Nendoroids, there's nothing we haven't seen yet, but that doesn't stop us from swooning over the many items headed our way over the next few months!

Hit the jump to see which Nendoroids were on hand at Comiket 79 as well as some new pictures and information on them!

First up, as seen in the header, are the new Panty and Stocking Nendoroids that we told you were coming yesterday, which now has official Nendoroid artwork (notice the differently shaped head). I really can't wait for this dynamic duo to come out and we'll be able to see more of them starting January 12 when the Good Smile Cafe will have them on display. Rounding out shows this season, we also have Kirino and Kuroneko from Oreimo on hand and Kyon from the recent Haruhi movie.

Also shown off yesterday was the B.G.M. Festival exclusive Nendoroid Petit set featuring five adorable girls. Featuring Miyako Miyamura from ef - a fairy tale of the two, Otome Asakura from Da Capo II, Kenshin Uesugi from Sengoku Rance, Kirari Shiino from Kira☆Kira, and Asuka Watari from Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai, this will be one solid set.

Many of the B.G.M. Festival Nendoroid Petit set gals have appeared in video games and anime, just like another set of Nendoroids that showed up (in picture form only, sadly), the Tantei Opera Milky Holmes girls! No word yet on the new mysterious Sherlock Shellingford or when the rest of the cast will be released, but I'd expect to see a lot more of them come the new year.

Touhou Project's Yuyuko Saigyouji was on hand with the new Suika figma. Sadly the ninth Nendoroid wasn't on hand (but at this point many believe it to be either Cirno or Suika), and we'll know  for sure soon enough. Either way, I'm just glad they're continuing the line as it's one of the best.

Last, but not least, is the Mahou Tsukai no Hako Nendoroid Petit set that had been shown off back in early December and got its first full showing here at Comiket 79. Featuring Hibino Hibiki and Katsuragi Chikagi in their cross-dressing maid-ish outfits, a cell phone, and potentially even more accessories hidden, this seems to be one solid set.

Well, that's it in terms of Nendoroids from Comiket 79! What are you Tomopeeps looking forward to most and which of these do you already have on the way to you next year? Let us know in the comments!

MOAR Nendoroids:

Legacy Comments

Stocking and Panty Nendos have such potential to make it onto my shelf. I hope they live up to it :) Although I am more leniant with Stocking than Panty, Gothie Hottie
Getting Panty and Stocking, no doubt about it!

I also find it funny from the get go, i expected to like Stocking the most, but honestly i could not really like her character. Instead Panty was the favorite... bizarre.

Might get the upcoming Touhou Nendoroids... seeming i already have everything released to this point in the line (this will be the end of me).

And, how could i forget about Kyon... been wanting a Kyon for ages now. Also, always good to see another male Nendo.
Stocking and Panty are so bought! I hope their pre-sales don't sell out instantly.
Got Kirino and Kuroneko on pre order the others I think I can pass.

Nendoroids are open runs unless packaged with a limited edition game or are an event exclusive/some other sort of special exclusive.[/quote]
Thanks. I'm getting too paranoid o One Piece POPs selling out within 2 hours of being put online. In Japanese time zones. -__-
If Shellingford looks halfway decent and isn't outrageously priced (like having to buy a game or a DVD for her), I'll probably pick her up. She'd be my third and probably final ever nendo. Probably. Stocking also looks pretty cool design-wise.

The Oreimo girls don't really appeal to me in nendo form, although Kirino is basically an unremarkable moe blob anyway. Kuroneko might be cool in figma form.

Haven't some of the reissues sold out of preorders, though? I remember there being an issue with the Kaito or something.

Kaito was special, though. Didn't he ship the same month as the pre-orders went up?
That actually is a good question... I just remember missing the AmiAmi opening and having to go through either HobbySearch or HLJ.
I don't get the P&S love, but God knows I'll probably buy them anyway.

More importantly, I want that Kenshin!
Panty and Stocking Nendos will be MINE! That is all.
