I'm sure some of you might have seen their first foray into the world of Japanese vinyl, fashion and punk, but I'm willing to bet that many of you might have missed out on Toypunks when it was released back in May of 2008. While I won't lie about it being a must-see, it is a documentary after all, those of us who are interested in Japanese vinyl, or even punk rock, should pick up a copy.
Now, it seems that the guys behind Toypunks are at it again with a teaser for their upcoming second volume. The teaser shows footage from their visit to the workshop of master vinyl painter Hitoshi Goto at his home in Tokyo. He might not be a huge name amongst those of us who merely collect these works, but Goto has been honing his craft for nearly 60 years and it certainly shows.
Among others, this second volume will include interviews and segments with artists such as TAKESHIT from Cocobat, Usugrow, Mike Giant, Endo from Devillock, Pushead, Hiddy from Secret Base, Mike Sutfin, Dream Rockets, Obitsu, and Death Climax. For more info, check their production blog and watch the trailer after the jump.
