Last year, we got to see Amaterasu, a very interesting project from Nanan (a.k.a. Gael Brienne) that combined designer toys with lighting fixtures to create characters that lit up the space around them ... literally. Now, he's e-mailed us with some more shots of recent additions to the Amaterasu series, and some of the new pieces feature new looks. For example, the Fire and Ice duo features a more futuristic-looking head, almost like the helmets that pro cyclists wear for time trial events. His color choices, too, feature nice matching patterns, especially the all-white with blue detailing Uriel and the black-and-orange Dragonfly.

Nanan says he's about to start on a totally new project next, and given how creative his Amaterasu series has been, I look forward to seeing what he's going to come up with! Check out the gallery for all the photos and let us know if you have a favorite!
