After Shiki and Saber Lion, Good Smile Company & Max Factory are back with more re-releases! If you've seen the results of their 10th anniversary poll, then you'll be sure to recognize some of these returning favourites.
First up is the Nendoroid Itoshiki Nozomu, everyone's favourite suicidal educator. I was late to the party that was Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, so I really felt like making myself taller when I saw the aftermarket prices for this figure. Luckily for me, pre-orders for his re-release open "soon".
Second up is Touhou Project's Marisa Kirisame in figma form. Though she's still technically an exclusive, she will be more accessible this time through the Good Smile Web Shop. Pre-opens will open in the near future, so get ready!
Lastly, if you found the price tag of moto-Saber too tough to chew, then you'll be glad to know that the old Fate/Zero Saber and Emiya Kiritsugu duo are back for another bid for your money. This is not simply a straight re-release, however -- if you look closely, you'll find the faces of the characters slightly altered. Both Saber and Kiritsugu look considerably more serious and grim, and I'm especially digging the Kiritsugu, whose face is just 100% business.
Speaking of alterations, word on Miktan's blog seems to suggest that there is discussion on the possibility of incorporating the new arm-type display base into the re-release of Nendoroid Saber Lion. The matter hasn't been decided, but this would be a fantastic change, because for all of her charm, my Saber Lion took a few too many long falls from my bookshelf for me to appreciate the old Nendoroid display base. It's pretty cool that GSC is considering going the extra mile to update their old releases, and here's hoping Saber Lion will get the new base that she deserves!
Whew, that is a lot of figures coming our way in the very near future, and chances are there will be even more coming. Are you prepared for this, Tomopeeps?
