Botcon to be held from June 27th to the 30th in San Diego

It was only just this past Wednesday that I mentioned we should be seeing an update on the official BotCon website soon now that the theme of Transformers: Machine Wars has been revealed in the official Transformers Collectors Club magazine. And sure enough, the update is here! BotCon will be heading to San Diego at the Town and Country Resort from June 27th through June 30th. I guess the TFCC really likes California. BotCon is a roaming convention held at different locations every year, but this marks the third time they've held the con in California since 2009, the most recent being in Pasadena in 2011. It's the first time Botcon has been held in San Diego, though it's only a few weeks before San Diego Comic Con which is troublesome to people who would like to attend both. Unless, of course, you live in SD, then congrats to you.

Right now the website doesn't offer anything more than just a splash screen and a link for hotel reservation. In the near future they'll update again with all of the necessary information and registration sign-up plus details on this year's five-figure Machine Wars box set. I still haven't made my way to a BotCon (came really close when they came to Rhode Island) and this year won't be any different, but have any of you made the trip? I do kinda want the figure set, though. Might have to spring for a non-attendee set...
