Boskoes' custom Shredder again makes me want more TMNT

At this point, who doesn't love some custom Ninja Turtles action figures? I know that I'm no stranger to the obsession, including the Shredder here, but well, here we are again with another awesome figure to showcase why my childhood was inferior, as my childhood wasn't filled with custom artists going to town with amazing precision. Boskoes, one of those fine customizers from over at Figure Realms, has put together my new favorite Shredder, one that's begging to be the centerpiece of an earth-shattering action figure storyline. Begging I say!

Reading the description of this new Shredder's origin is crazy as it involves a Mortal Kombat Johnny Cage as the foundation, the head of a Real Steel figure, and some pieces from an actual Shredder figure. The cool part is, thanks to that Johnny Cage figure, there are a handful of extra...uh...hands. Plus swords! Shredder just isn't complete anymore without swords for some reason.

The aspect I'm most pleased with is the coloring. It's simple but it gets right to the heart of the 1987 cartoon, so naturally I'm rather enamored. Also cool is the fact that this one's up on ebay for purchase, meaning it's actually possible for me to get a hold of this. Looks like the starting bid's US$200 so- oh wait. Those auctions don't go down in price, right? Never mind then.
