For this week, the topic is Intricate Detail and Design.

Figure design is an art form of its own.  There are a lot of details crammed into a small little figure.  Sometimes it's in the clothing, sometimes the paint job, or the accessories, or that little tiny detail that just helps to complete the figure.  It can even be that slight extra molding to hint at layers of clothing, or that detail in the hair blowing in the wind, that one extra painted element that brings things all together.

Any examples of some really nice and intricate designs and details on a figure?

Have fun!

Remember that the #figurefriday event is more a way to just share figure photos than to actually fulfill a specific requirement, so if you cant participate in the challenge, fear not, just participate :)

For this week, the topic is Damage.

Damage is an inevitability of life.  Nothing remains pristine forever, and if it does, sometimes it could mean that you're not appreciating something enough.

The more figures you collect, the more likely _something's_ going to happen.  A bump, a drop, a cat... nicks, scuffs, paint transfers, broken parts.  What are some of the damages your figures have endured?

Have fun!

For this week, the topic is Outerwear.

Outerwear can constitute a whole plethora of clothing items.  From jackets to hoodies to kimonos and even armor.  In general, this will be something you would wear in addition to other clothing items, but as with all challenges, the interpretation is up to you :).

Have fun!

For this week, the topic is an Open Challenge.

I know, this month was a bit of a confusion with the BTS and Open Challenges...  so, well, I guess one more plain Open Challenge wont hurt, as it seems to be the topic of choice for the Event fridays.

Anyway, this time, no strings attached.  Showcase some great photographs you've taken, and let us know of a topic if you have one in mind.

For this week, the topic is a two part challenge:  Open Challenge and Behind the Scenes.

Here's Tim Norman's resulting photo from the previous week's studio shot primer photo: http://goo.gl/JyQcHI.

I think I was a bit amiss in my description of what we were looking for in last weeks and this week's challenge.

It was supposed to be that last week, you showed us your open challenge photo, and this week, you get to show the studio shot that produced that photo.

If you did one (whether the intended one or not), feel free to post the other for this week.  It's an open challenge, we're a loose knit community, just go with the flow and post what you think would be interesting :)

Have fun!

For this week, the topic is a two part challenge:  Open Challenge and Behind the Scenes.

Here we go.  A two part challenge spanning this week and next week's challenges.  For this Friday, shoot whatever you like.  Get creative.  Find some lights, use some sets, put your figures in some interesting locations.  Take them outside, place them inside.

Take some pictures.... of your setup.  That's going to be the follow up challenge.  It doesn't have to be anything special or fancy either.  It's always just fun to be able to see what others have done and perhaps a little insight into why and how it was done.

Have fun!
