During this weekend, Good Smile Company celebrated its tenth anniversary with an event in Akihabara. The event started with a private reception, followed with a public event.
Of personal interest, they had an exhibit of all the figures they have produced, which I would have loved to see in person. PVC figures have evolved a lot in the past ten years, and Good Smile Company has been an important player. Together with Alter and Max Factory, they have continuously raised the bar of quality PVC figure design, sculpting, and production.
They also showed incoming products, including the previously linked Real Action Hero Black Rock Shooter by Medicom.
The event was covered by several sites, including
Danny Choo,
Akiba Hobby and
Moeyo.
Danny Choo also has an article focusing on
Medicom's BRS. Looking real darn good, though Medicom's Real Action Hero line is on the
expensive side.
