About
What the skittles? Someone is reading this? Really? Awesome! Hello! My real name is Jennifer and I have been around my beloved dorks and nerds since my first day in day care. Remember that kid everyone threw into the trash can and then locked the lid? That was me! Much has changed and I am currently going to school for Photography and Business. For some time now I have envied the figure collector. I have silently stood at the other side of the glass drooling until someone shooed me away because I was scaring the costumers. Now, finally! I have gained money to buy these fabulous figurines! I plan on making reviews on figurines and (When I can) Taking pictures of them to show off the detail. Please wish me luck!

So am I the only one here doing flips over the new Pyramid head Figure or what?

If you are not, and you are a fan of the Konami Horror survivor game Silent Hill II, then you obviously haven't seen the amazing pictures that have been released of the figure.

For those of you poor unfortunate souls who haven't played or seen the motion picture Silent Hill it would be in your best interest to stop what you are doing now and either buy the DVD or take a look into the Silent Hill game on youtube. (I don't expect anyone to go out on their way to buy a PS1 or PS2 and the Video game). Both medias take you into the world of Silent Hill, a severely dysfunctional and very eerie town which both finds and attracts people to its trap, one filled with gruesome creatures, haunting puzzles, and chilling facts they learn about themselves as well as the town.

Great, now lets get to the awesomeness before us that is the Pyramid Head PVC.

ToyMunkey, the company responsible for the Silent Hill II version of the antagonist, stated that this is a PVC material figure. This is good news, it will be great for everyone and PVC is pretty manageable to take care of rather the costumer is new to collecting or a long time pro. This can also mean it will be affordable, nothing too fancy but again nothing too dull.

When I spotted the photos I thought for sure they would have missed something. So it was time to do some investigating! After heading back to play the game again, I've managed to get a still with the big guy. I've tried to find something out of place, really I have tried you guys, but I just can't seem to find anything wrong with it. Its bad for me because now I want this PVC even more.

They decided to go to a 1/6 scale for this figure, which I believe to be a good choice. Its going to be big enough to spot across the room. This size will also get us to really see some of the detail. And everyone, let me tell you something, the detail on this guy is amazing, when I say amazing it is a understatement.

When you check out the previews on the most recognizable character of the game franchise, you can actually see vains bulging from his arms to the detail that creates an ominous look of the Pyramid like prison which sits on top of his head. If you are brave enough to keep your eyes wondering you'll spot the only continuous companion the pyramid head has; his sword. This is where I'm not too happy at. To me the sword looks too small. We've all seen the scenes where this big guy has to drag the also grand sword around, even his attacks take time to complete because of the obvious effort it takes to lift the weapon. While the little details were impressive, it still can't make the weapon look large as it should be. However this hardly takes away from the figure as the Pyramid holds up his latest victim. Question is ... did he kill the creature to be ruthless or is this going to be saved for a passionate embrace for later on? What? We all know Pyramid head is kind of freaky that way.

A price of 150 was mentioned for this figure. While I hear a lot of complaining, the price itself actually isn't bad at all for what you are getting here. In my honest opinion I am surprised they are asking for 150 because I thought for sure they would want to ask for more. I do believe the kids complaining are the ones still getting allowances from their parents so in my rule book they don't count. From the real collectors and fans I hear a lot of praise and how anxious they are. I believe they understand that in this hobby if you want a detailed product, it will cost. This time, it seems we won't be paying an arm or a leg, which is a welcome change for a quality piece.

ToyMunkey Studios have announced they are still pending approval from Licensor "and may differ slightly from the final product as the masterful paintwork is complete and is approved". I, for one, hope there won't be too many changes made. I'd prefer if none were made at all, aside from the sword of course. The other worry is that this figure isn't for the faint of heart. Last thing we all need is for Jimmy's mum from next door blaming us for her kids mental state. Ph, we all knew Jimmy was weak, we brought him into manhood! We made him strong! What better way to do so than to scare the dipers off him with a Pyramid head PVC?

The ToyMunkey says the figure will be released sometime in December of 2012, perfect timing for that Christmas Gift from us to ourselves. So, who is getting it and who can't wait for this bad boy to hit the stores?
