While eagerly awaiting the Tomo updates, I noticed Seanxlong post a vid of Mattel's Toy Fair offerings (which, honestly, I probably would have seen from the PCN footage as well but there's so much PCN footage to go through including in-depth interviews with product managers... The MotUC one alone is 40 minutes. Granted, it's engaging content but still...). Basically it was a video recap of the photos taken by Toy News International. Here's a direct link to the TNI article:

Otherwise, prepare to feel like you've never felt before.... actually, it's good stuff that doesn't need hyperbolic upselling.
First up, the eagerly anticipated Poison Ivy
Like with the recent Star Sapphires, she has a torso joint instead of an ab crunch. I am in favor of this decision. Otherwise great headsculpt, decent body work, mildly boring limbs. I do like the ivy trailing down one leg, though (also the arm). I guess they kept things more neutral which is perfectly fine.
Black Mask has an AWESOME headsculpt:
The body basically looks like another Clark Kent recycle, though.
And, as much as I hate to admit it (given my earlier derision), I kinda want to pick up Platinum:
And no, it's not just because of her enormously giant shiny boobs.
Rocket Red was there as well. Do not care and will not buy:
For those of you who care, I *think* he's an oversized figure (CNC equivalent).
The JLU set I was kinda thinking of getting:
Not quite as must-own as I would have assumed. Firefly looks forgettable, Destiny does not impress, and there are a ton of other sets I could get the Toyman from. It'll come down to pricing and what else I order.
Loving the JLU Mongul:
Those of you who followed the JL animated series will remember him from the adaptation of Alan Moore's "For the Man who has Everything" (title iirc) where Supes gets the "gift" of seeing what life could have been on Krypton courtesy of Mongul's rare space flower parasite only to have that world torn away from when Batman and Wonder Woman (plus Robin in the comic) free him from the plant's grasp. It's an awesome story and Mongul looks incredible in JLU form.
In the background you'll see future (ie, old) Static from that episode with the time travel guy. Might have been the same Static that appears in the Static Shock episode where the Justice League brings him to the future to free his future self.
At any rate, it's all even more exciting than I imagined. But wait, there's more!
That's the SC Hal / Blue Lantern Kyle pack I mentioned in my other c-blog (with the 2-pack I don't care about next to it). While not nearly as impressive as the other stuff, it's something I'll doubtlessly buy.
Here's hoping that the Tomopop coverage has better photography than TNI
