So, I finally took the courage and customized two models for my liking. It is unavoidable that you will never find a perfect figure that will fulfill all your desires, so customization can be the trick to get almost there. And here goes my first tip: start with cheap models/figures so you will not blow up a significant amount of money if something goes wrong. Now, I present my first custom:
I call him the 'Strider Hawk', based on the Gundam AGE-2 Normal HG 1/144 kit. It is almost identical as the original model, with three basic changes: the wings received more colors; I exchanged the ridiculous small shield it come with with an extra shield I had from a Gundam Exia HG model I had; the beam rifle receive part of the solid state sword of a Gundam Exia I had to spare.
The nice thing about this custom is that it become way more badass while retaining all his original functions. It means it can transform in Strider form all along and it looks way more lethal than his original form. Now the original forms for you to compare:
And some shots of my custom:
Now to my second custom:
My second custom is called 'NightFlame', and is based on the G-Bouncer HG 1/144 from Gundam AGE. Since it is a very white model, I am pretty satisfied with the addition of the red details. It gave the figure a way more menacing look. I also used the shield of the AGE-2 normal kit that was discarded from my Strider Hawk as a protective plate for his beam rifle. Now, the original G-Bouncer:
And my custom NightFlame:
Hope you guys liked it. Of course, I know I am far from be a good custom maker, but I am really happy on how they come out. I will try it more often, if I can find more cheap models to go. Thanks for coming, see ya.
