About
I started collecting anime/game figurines in 2006. I think of the pieces in my collection as works of art, and I'm very discriminating as to the quality of the pieces I include. So as not to tempt myself and build up a collection larger than I'd like, I only buy figures that I see while browsing in physical shops, though I still admire images of releases that I see online.

Maker: MegaHouse
Scale: 1/8
Anime: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED

Flay Allster was a character I disliked intensely when I first watched Gundam SEED, but more recently, I've come to appreciate her flawed character for its tragedy, and for the impact she has on the plot. Flay has quite a striking character design, as well. This figure shows her after having shed half her uniform to better enjoy the sunshine during a lull in the fighting, as well as to tempt a certain Gundam pilot getting too close to another girl... Interestingly enough, this Flay figure was part of the Gundam Archives release from MegaHouse, which came out at the same time as my Cagalli figure several years ago. It's lucky that I came across this one by chance much more recently, when I have a new appreciation for the character.
