More than a month has passed without getting myself into buying anything (miraculously). As a result I have amassed funds and now I have my eye on Kotobukiya's translation of Shunya Yamashita's bishoujo art for Tekken character Alisa Bosconovitch.

Now I have to admit that I am not too familiar with Alisa as she is fairly new (I have not played tekken in a loooong time). But after searching for figures to buy I came across her and I have done quite a bit of research. I found every single review about her to be positive and I just want to validate that with opinions from other users here.

Thanks in advance

Update: I have just purchased her and she should arrive within 2-3 days. Thank you again :)

This should serve as a quick follow-up to my previous post (Pre-order mania). I just came home from a trip to my favorite mall and, perhaps for the first time in my life, did not buy anything for myself. But how it turned out to be a stern test to my willpower ^_^

My mission that day was to find two Kotobukiya bishoujo figures as requested by my dad (been collecting since he was a kid) namely X-23 (original version) and the new variant of Black Widow. I easily found the former and the latter was yet to arrive but what caught my eye was the figure box standing behind her; a Yamato's Soryu Asuka Langley.

I love asuka,my very first crush on a fictional character, and I think the figure made by Yamato to be the best I have ever seen. However I could not find it anywhere until today, now that it is just right in front of me I wanted to grab it and get it over with. But something is my brain is telling me not to give in to dropping $130 on her and save the money (maybe for parts for my Lancer Evo? lol).

I also mentioned on my previous post about considering pre-ordering Reiko Date-Wingfield, Hot Toys Avengers Black Widow and the Hot Toys Batmobile 1989 version. Yes about them, apparently the pre-order allocation for the Batmobile has been sold out and did not bother me much considering I could save the $640 for future use. I took some time thinking about the Black Widow but ended up passing on it as well as Reiko.

Well that pretty much sums up my day;expenses avoided. Maybe if I could keep this up for the remainder of the year I could save enough money to be able to buy my toys without feeling too guilty about it.

Cheers ^_^

A little over a month since I started seriously collecting and I am now starting to feel the effects of joining the "dark side". I could not help but spend hours upon hours just searching at ebay and other online stores for smexy figures and cool toys (indirectly leading me to this great community ^_^).

Add to that the fact that I want to go to a mall so badly and go on a pre-order spree. The benefit I see with these pre-orders is that it gives me a time frame on when I am supposed to save up for them lol. I am seriously considering pre-ordering the new Hot Toys 1/6 avengers Black widow because it looks so similar to Scarlett,as mentioned in my previous post the Reiko Date-Wingfield figure simply because its so hot and finally easily my most ambitious pre-order temptation would have to be the Hot Toys 1/6 Batmobile 1989 version. I love the 1989 Batmobile from Tim Burton's Batman film, when I first watched the film as a kid it was the Batmobile that stuck with me and ever since then I would love to get my hands on one even it is just a toy.

Just one problem; it is $640, sure it will be released next year giving me more than enough time to save up. I guess it really comes down to how much I love it. Pre-order listings for it over here are starting to fill-up and soon it will all be gone. Time to make a move

later

Okay I really did not think this post through (I used to be good at this maybe I should start writing some more). So for my (and everyone else who may have been affected lol) peace of mind I am doing this again.

It has to be said that it takes a lot to be able to sustain a thriving hobby. Time and money, arguably two of the most important things in our universe, are required before we can ever consider starting a hobby.

It has been a little over a month now that I started working and of course, started earning money. All my life I have always loved to collect toys, model kits, figures etc. But until now everything I have in my collection came from my parent's pocket. Now that I am able to earn my own money my first thought was to fully realize my collecting dreams. To follow on the footsteps of my dad who collects the same things I do. As a lover of beautiful women ( who does not?) fictional or not, collecting sexy figures was a no brainer. After some researching I came across Kotobukiya's Bishoujo line of figures based of art from Shunya Yamashita. It was love at first sight and I immediately bought my first figure; Evil supergirl and just a few days later bought my second; batgirl black costume version. And now I face the prospect of pre-ordering a sexy Date-wingfield Reiko 1/6 figure.

Yeah cool story bro but where is the dilemma? There is no dilemma, I screwed up the title by wrong choice of words because my brain was in a thousand places at the same time when I was doing this ^_^

Apologies
