I received today a box from AmiAmi which brought two figures. With both of them my collection reaches 200 figures!

It was pretty unexpected, since I also have another box in its way from them which was dispatched earlier, so it was a surprise when I opened the box and found this:

(Sorry for the bad pictures from my cellphone)

First we have D-Arts Dukemon / Gallantmon. A pretty neat figure to display along Omegamon / Omnimon and the other D-Arts Digimon. I hope Bandai hasn't forgotten of this franchise yet.

And last, here it comes the 200th! Myth Cloth EX Sagittarius Aiolos. Probably the best of the EX series so far. An outstanding figure, and a must have for Saint Seiya fans.
I was pretty lucky in catching a preorder for this guy, since most Myth Cloths and particularly the Gold Saints, get sold pretty fast. Seriously, I canīt be happier this be my 200th...

Since this is a very special date for me, I'm planning to invite some friends and have a "figure meeting". Everyone will bring a toy for playing and we'll play some videogames and share some beers and snacks.
If everything goes well, we might make another meeting once in a while.

One of the biggest complaints we Evangelion fans have about its figures is even when we got a bunch of re-re and releases of the EVA, we never got any Angel to give them a good fight.

Well, S.H. MonsterArts, the Kaiju centered Bandai line, have heard our plea and will give us a Zeruel in its Rebuild version. It even will come with its AT field effect part!

Bandai will grant it a pretty good size. Look the picture and compare its size with EVA-02 Beast:

No release date or price yet. A further update will come for sure.

Nu Gundam will be released next month, so it's natural his MS arch-rival also would got a lot of probabilities of having the SPIRITS treatment. But what we wanted to see was pictures of the prototype. But Bandai has surprised us with the final painted model already.

It's planned for August and will cost 5000 yen.

Bandai will also release a special piramidal fin-funnel effect part for Nu-Gundam for 3000 yen.
Count on me for both, Bandai!

The obligated images and it's source with a lot of more Damashii revelations (Damn... I want that AS Blaze Raven already... My heart won't stand so much love to FMP):

Mike: Up those EVA! Up those EVA, I said! You lazy pervert!
Kakashi: 3335...3336...3337....

Cait Sith: What you doing guys?
Mike: Kakashi's out of shape, because you know, everyone eats as a pork in this time of year. I offered to help him to get back to his former self. NERV guys are helping us since they are nothing else to do until the next movie.
Cait Sith: Don't say... Since when you are a trainer? I've heard the last exercise you did was in the school when you played dodgeball... as a ball
Mike: For your information, I once trained the most terrifying and fearful monster on this side of the world, the very James P. Sullivan. He wouldn't be nothing without my strict and rigurous training program! And that was my joke. Don't steal my show!

Cait Sith: Lifting a bunch of puny guys is your great training!? Come on! It'll take years for this guy to become Hokage this way. Let me teach you how this has to be done!
Mike: Get lost!
Kakashi: 3425...3426...3427....
Cait Sith: Hey guys. I've got some fun...

Mike: What the...! What are you doing, you parody of Antonio Banderas!?
Cait Sith: No need to thank. I asked some friends to come here and help the man.
Mike: You're gonna break his ass! Hey everyone, get down, get down now!

Jack: Why I had to arrive first?

Kyon: I'm amazed. This is a great place for filming.
X: (But not over my face, you idiot!)

EVA-00[Blue]: A great view indeed! Now I can complete my mission.

Mark.06: Hey I found a book! "Icha Icha Paradise" it says. Let's see... Wow! How educational
Kakashi: 3842... Hey, that's mine! 3843... Give it back!

RX-78-2: I got an idea! Hang in there guys!
EVA-02: Don't move up there!

RX-78-2: Almost there...
EVA-03: Someone took my wallet!
Haruhi: Stop poking my ass, you bastards!
Woody: [gigles]

RX-78-2: At last! My emblematic pose for 0079! Behold all my glory, you mortals!
Mike: Get down in this instant!
Kakashi: 4021... 4022...

RX-78-2: Oops... I shouldn't have gone to Moustache's party last night... Sorry pals. I really need to leak now!
Everyone: [scream]

Kakashi: 4035... Hey, Stop moving!...4036... Almost finish the 5000 squads

Woody: No... keep moving... keep moving like that!
Haruhi: Stay away from me, you freak!

RX-78-2: Huh... What's the deal with that pig!? Why's here?

Mike: It's another of those weird summons of Tsunade. It was the next stage of Kakashi's training.... Don't turn around, you'll piss me on!

Jack: Hey pal! Help me to get out of here, please...!

Sephiroth: [grin]
Jack: Houston, we have a problem.

EVA-03: Look! I found my wallet!
Everyone: That's good...

After an unexpected announcement of Hellsing's Alucard, Kaiyodo continue taking popular anime franchises other from Evangelion for their Revoltech line. This time it's the turn of the blonde-cyborg-alchemist-dwarf Edward from Fullmetal Alchemist.

They may probably love red dressed guys. This is the sixth after Dante, Yukimura, Vash, Lupin and Alucard (it's red in the anime and I'm sure they will do another repaint somewhere in the near future)

Apart from his big balls... sorry, joints and an big array of accesories usual from Revoltech, we can't say too much about it yet, since the picture has poor quality, but it seems to have the correct proportion and coloring. It also has release date and price already: will come at mid-March for 2980 yen

At this point, we can just speculate about how it will result. Will be a failure as Kenshin? Will be a success as Vash the Stampede? Or will have mixed reception as Alucard?

Update: A closer image came up:

It's pretty detailed, and its expression looks faithful to original. I like the contrast between the coated pants and the matte boots. The coat seems to be much better made than Alucard's, since it doesn't have those huge gaps between. Its mechanic arm looks detailed enough and even comes with the knife extension for it. Other accesories include: three extra faces, several hands and an special effect which has the peculiar square pattern of alchemy

Certainly it does some flaws, mostly in the joint department but I think they're forgivable.

Now I've seen this, even though March is already crowded of preorders, I'm saving a stop for this one!

Many of us got excited when Kaiyodo announced it's release of Hellsing's Alucard, one of the most charismatic characters of the anime in general. Other many got reasonably skeptical due the horrible sculpt of Kenshin/Battousai Himura. Now thanks to Gunjap we got the first look of the sample of this figure, which we can say its pretty Revoltech, if you know what this mean.

The sculp is not bad, but not good enough. however this might due poor quality of the pictures itself. While its face is not shown clearly enough, it's hair sculpt doesn't excite me much. Note that huge gap in the back of its head. Joints in general are pretty noticeable, and I'm not very convinced by the way the coat its articulater either, but it's not bad as those sleeves of Kenshin.

It's body, however, reminds me so much to Revoltech Wolfwood which it's fairly decent to me. This Alucard got to do one of the feature posing of the original, but as people that have any Revoltech will agree, this can prove difficult to be repeated at home.

As usual with Kaiyodo, it comes with plenty of accesories: the two guns, a bloody effect base, the eye gesture, a couple of faces, his hat, some hands, among others. They come well painted and good details. I was hoping for a black-dog-shoulder-thing or maybe some bunch-eyed-shadow but, if I recall correctly, they promised a "original version" of Alucard, and this will suffice to this claim.

While I'm not excited as before, I think it's a decent figure. It's maybe early to early to give a accept/reject call, but I remain in my prior position and still buying it, perhaps biased by how much I'm fan of Hellsing. It comes in January for 2980 yen, which is a bit overpriced for a Revoltech, but not much comparated with other brands. Let's wait for official pics and some gimmicks of what more this figure can do.

What you think? Does It accomplish your expectancies?
