BBTS lists DC Universe wave 3 selection, no photos photo

Big Bad Toy Store has opened pre-orders for wave three of Mattel's DC Unlimited line. While no images of the actual figures are available yet, BBTS has seen fit to use the DC Collectibles logo as a placeholder. I'll let that one sink in for a moment.

Subsequently, we now know that the third wave consists of a New-52 Darkseid, a New-52 Aquaman, an Injustice: Gods Among Us Superman, and an Injustice Joker. Given that Darkseid has the same price point as the others, the character likely won't be to scale and may instead use a height similar to his DC Superheroes S3 figure. I'm more than a little surprised that Mattel would send something like this to retail instead of selling him as an over-sized figure on Matty Collector.

Given how messy the Injustice Batman looks, I'm wondering how Mattel will handle Superman and Joker. Both characters' Injustice costumes look similar to outfits we've seen before so it really comes down to whether Mattel will try to stylize the two in some way to better suit the video game.

At any rate, Tomopop will be eagerly following possible developments.

Custom Made Monday: It's a me, Mario

Well, it's almost time for E3, so I guess Custom Made Monday ought to get with the times and showcase a little bit of gaming-themed customs. Of course, I say a little bit because there's others that draw their inspiration from movies, and yet others from food and piracy. Not the online kind. I'd suggest hopping past the jump to check them out ... because you really can't otherwise, can you?

DC Collectibles pre-order round-up

DC Collectibles inundates fans with offerings every month which occasionally makes it hard to keep up. While a good number of collectibles were mentioned on this site last month, a few slipped through the cracks while a slew of additional pre-orders have started opening. How can anybody keep up? Well, hitting the jump would be a great start.
