Batman and Harley Quinn admitted to Play Arts Kai photo

Square Enix is doing some amazing things with their Play Arts Kai line of poseable figures by releasing figures of characters from other third party licenses. One of those is the widely acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum published by the since acquired Eidos Interactive. We've already seen the two icons of Batman released, the Dark Knight himself and the insane(ly popular) the Joker.

The Dark Knight is back again, equipped for a new battle and with him is another person who is constantly attached to the Joker. The returning Batman comes decked in new battle armor including a new cape and cowl. It gives me a 1989 Batman feel but at the same time it makes me think of all the domestic Batman toy variants. What's next, Square Enix? Deep Sea Action Batman? Why not do another villain instead? Say, like someone else to go with your other release?

That other release is the Joker's right hand gal, Harley Quinn. I admit I'm in the camp of not being fond of Quinn's new design for Arkham Asylum but I understand the change was meant to match the very gritty style of the game. Quinn is not alone and will be bringing the little wooden gangster Scarface with her. Once again, Square Enix's attention to detail shows through on this figure.

Square Enix's Play Arts Kai Batman Armored and Harley Quinn are both retailing for ¥5,800 each and will be available in May, 2012. Anyone all over this, especially Quinn, or will you be saying "pass" since it's Square Enix's Play Arts Kai line of figures?
