Bandai is making Soul Of Chougokin Drossel....Need I say more? photoAs you all know, we here at Tomopop love Drossel, that crazy-awesome princess from the Disney Japan 12-episode, minute-and-half series Fireball. Well, it seems Bandai loves her too, as we are getting a Soul of Chogokin Drossel, which is very, very similar to the Figma version with two big differences.

The first difference is that it's going to be 8,000 yen, which is about $89 US. This is (in my mind, anyway) a good price for a SOC toy, though that will probably put some of you off, especially if you own the Figma Drossel. The second thing is if you looked at the picture above, she has ROCK HANDS! For when Drossel is in a mood to ROCK! Now, I know this isn't such a big deal, but Bandai is doing something to make it different from the Figma, so at least they're trying, right?

MOAR robots!:

Legacy Comments

Saw her up for preorder going for around $65 USD. Not that bad since I heard she's almost eight inches tall.

and yes ROCK HANDS.
I just got the Figma Drossel and it's ace - just the "rocking hands" doesn't justify $89 to buy this version from BANDAI which looks pretty similar to the FIGMA version...
well, you might be a sucker for Die Cast Metal which would be the other reason to buy it if you already have the figma.
I'm not familiar with the Soul of Chogokin line. Is this like the same die-cast model from back in the 80s, that has articulated joints and moveable parts?
