I mentioned this when I posted about Alter's Aegis during WF2011S, but I'm pretty damn tired of Aegis. She's entered into the pantheon of characters who have been whored out beyond reason. Don't get me wrong; the final painted version of Aegis from Alter is stunning in its detail and quality. I'm not criticizing the effort of the sculptor, the painter or even Alter. I'm just raging that of all the characters across two different Persona games, Aegis is the one that gets all the attention. I want to see somebody else. Anybody else.
OK, enough complaining. Coming in at a rather large 1/6 scale, the level of nit-picky detail really does impress me. When you compare it to the original piece of art, Alter really has made THE definitive Aegis. The work on her arm gears and her hip joints blows every other version away. If you haven't bought any figures of her, this should be the one to get. It seems that you'll get your chance next week, September 14th. As usual, stay tuned to Tomopop for more info.
OK, with this release, can we agree that there doesn't need to be any more versions of Aegis? I know that she's in the upcoming Persona 4 fighting game, but that's a good opportunity to get some figures of different characters. I seriously need a Chie on my desk, stat! Which other Persona characters would you like to see get the 1/6 scale treatment?
Alter's showing at Megahobby Expo notably included:
A swimsuit version of Saber Alter (painted since WonFes)
Tanigawa Kanna from Ano Natsu de Matteru (newly painted)
Chitanda Eru
Unpainted prototype for Takanashi Miu from Pa...

When Alter makes something they always try to go the extra mile. This extra detail is especially apparent from their 1/8th scale models to their model jets and planes. However did you know that they work hard on bri...
