Alphamax's Yui is off to the beach to join Mio and Azusa

It was six months ago that Alphamax felt the world needed 1/7 scale versions of Mio and Azusa from K-On! in their swimsuits. Sure, Wave has done it before but those are 1/10 scale and those are tiny compared to other figures! Now that those two have been released, Alphamax is back for your wallet by adding the clumsy yet smart and adorable Yui to their 1/7 scale of figures.

Unlike Wave's version that has Yui energetically giving the victory sign, Alphamx has their petite Yui playfully posing while lifting her swim dress as if she were stepping through water. Though the sculpt is simple since it's a swimsuit figure there are some things to appreciate on this figure such as the quality of the hair, the detail in the hands and toes, and, well, the shape of her belly button. It's a very cute pose and feels different for Yui's character so I do find myself a bit interested in this figure. My only complaint that I can see from the photos is the roundness of Yui's face. Doesn't have the sharp sides and chin on this figure as seen in the art style. ...well, when the title's art is being consistent.

Yui fans who were wanting a beach figure of her but at a larger scale, here's your chance. She's retailing for a decent ¥6,800 and will be available in July. Now will we see Ritsu and Mugi join the other girls? ...plus, will we ever see any larger scale figures of Sawako or Nodoka?
