Alphamax present a Shiranui Mai figure that finally doesn't look like ass photo

King of Fighters is one of my all time favorite games, and one of the main characters, Shiranui Mai, always struck me as Chun-li done right; she's just as strong and balanced as Chun-li, but thankfully she has a beautiful body and a set of legs that don't look like they're made of two pieces of mutton chops taped together. I don't know why, but it's really hard to find a figure of Mai that doesn't look like crap, but finally I think Alphamax have nailed it.

Alphamax will release this gorgeously sculpted Mai in March of 2009. Mai is being released as part of some promotional towards the latest King of Fighters game, entitled King of Fighters: Maximum Impact Regulation A god the names for these games keep getting dumber and dumber. The figure will retail for a whopping $170, but if you ask me it is definitely worth the price. I want this figure more than anything else. I would kill my own first born for this figure...probably.

Those of you who have the green to throw down for this baby can place a preorder now over at KidNemo. Hit the gallery for more gorgeous photos, and make sure you have a few spare tissues nearby. You know, just in case.

This is a pretty figurine of Mai.

Haha yeah Chun-Li's thighs are pretty crazy though in some pictures... I've never played any of the King of Fighters games before but that figure is HAWT. I'd love to have it in my collection :D
Oh, yes. I love the mold on this figure and her pose (a bit iffy on the face mold). I never really thought about owning a Mai figure that much, but this one I might... oh... wait. $170? ;_; ... pass....
Nice but I certainly prefer the one by Max Factory.
I really like the Volks one in the kimono. The face on this one is much better though.
I'm with Colette, that Volks one is the win. This one is mighty nice, though.
I'm impressed that they made her head larger than her cleavage on this figure. The face -is- lovely. Now I'm of to discover what the Volks version looks like...I'd like to see Mai with some actual clothes on for once.
