I'm pretty proud of my Aliens collection. I'm going to have to think on this one though. I may decide to put the money towards more Colonial Marines.

As an ardent fan of the Alien movies it's difficult for me to resist any well done figure from my favorite flicks. Add a pinch of adorably distorted proprotions to turn the bi-mouthed beast into a cute shadow of the monstrosity it once was and top it off with a transparent skull and I am sold.
Fortunately for me Medicom Toys has produced just exactly that, releasing it through Sideshow in blatant show of force against the indigenous peoples of Walletopia. What? You thought you'd get some sweet Alien vinyl on the cheap? Not so my hideously toy-addicted friends.
The 8" soldier Alien will run you about $70; a hefty pricetag to be sure, but for fans of Alien lacking a little cute in their monstrous menageries it's a price well worth paying. Sideshow is currently accepting pre-orders for the Alien figure, which is expected to ship in the third quarter of 2008.
