Monster Hunter's Airou and Sanrio's My Melody are both prone to a little cosplay now and again, so it should come as no big surprise when the inevitable time came for them to pair up and exchange costumes (fur?) with each other. The grand occasion for this game of dress-up is the Airou x My Melody Kira Kira Festa taking place at Sanrio Puroland, a indoor theme park in Tokyo.  

The cosplaying pair are featured on a variety of vittles such as ramen and chocolate mousse as well as a large range of merchandise (a.k.a. the good stuff). The iPhone 4/4S cases (¥1680 each) are sure to be a big hit amongst the techie crowd, with either Airou and My Melody or Airou and Kuromi emblazoned on the cover. And, keeping with the cell phone theme are the screen cleaner mascot plush charms (¥798 each) of Airou (as My Melody or Kuromi), My Melody (as Airou), and Kuromi (again, as Airou). Next are the round cushions of the costumed My Melody and Airou (¥2079 each). They look soft and all but a tad weird without limbs or, at least, tails. The last of the toy-ish goods are the jigsaw puzzles (¥1050 each) that feature cute little pictures of the two characters playing. The final items on the menu are mugs with either Airou or My Melody on the sides (¥609 each). 

The goods will only be available at the theme park for a limited time, from the beginning of July to late August. Any Japan-based readers interested in picking some of these goods up?
