Normally, on Tomopop, when we get to post kitbashed figures, we see some absolutely amazing stuff that features a lot of hard work to create a truly, unique, one of a kind product.
This is not one of those times.
You see, a fairly adventurous person took a Max Factory Hatsune Miku, lopped the head off, and put that head on a Tamaki wedding ver. figure. Then they sold it on Yahoo! Japan auctions for ¥389,000 (US$5000). Yes, someone paid that much for what amounts to a kitbash you could do in your own kitchen in about 20 minutes. Some of the comments on the original article are quite hilarious, such as "What was the person who bought this thinking?!", "This man’s innovation deserves some kind of prize," "I can hear the shanzai factories starting up in China," and "Don’t mock the pros, just start selling them yourself."
Yes, I think I will do that. Now where are my scissors and super glue ...
