I prefer this version of Shouko-San too! It's the one I have!

I love taking the occasional trip up to Los Angeles, seeing as it's only a few hours drive. Given the recent weather though, I figured I'd go before it got a bit too hot--by that I mean burning--for my tastes. While we were there, we stopped by several of our favorite little shops, like Jungle, Marukai, and Kinokuniya. We also met up with our good friend, and occasional photographer, Ace0fClub5 who brought a long his amazing camera. You might remember his photos from the last time he took some shots for us.
While I had originally brought my wife, Kim, with us to check out the Gothic Lolita selection, I felt compelled to snag a figure while I was there. Lucky for me, I stumbled upon the Kuro-Shoko edition of Shunya Yamashita and Kotobukiya's Shouko-san. Over the past year I've seen plenty of the original pink version at conventions. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon this just sitting there, begging for me to rip out my wallet. Well, I just had to have it. Kim also spotted a beautiful Nakoruru figure to add to her collection. If you only knew how much of a Nakoruru nut she is, you'd be wondering why she didn't already own it.
So, while we were still there, we managed to have Ace snap a few stunning photos to share with everyone. I hope you all like them as much as I do. I really wish we had more, but we were pressed for time. I promise I'll have him go over all my beauties in the future though. Maybe a mega gallery next time? We'll see. In the mean time, you can pick up Nakoruru from Hobby Search, and Shouko-san is currently available from a number of online retailers such as Amazon.
